About Us

Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and visit with us. We are the Tabors and we are so excited to be on the farm, back in our home state of Alabama. Byron was born here and made his first memories here doing the things he loves. He got his first horse at age one, always had dogs around, and was shooting a bow by age four. He took the longbow all the way to winning championships at the state, national and world levels, shooting in front of large crowds at speaking engagements, and bringing his expertise to the archery store that he owned. While filming a hunting TV show and shooting quail out of the air with his longbow, Byron had the privilege of training bird dogs alongside world champion trainers. This love of training bird dogs over several decades has led into training protection dogs for his family and others. His wife, Mary, grew up in the suburbs dreaming of her Barbie horse and is now living the Green Acres life. After living in North Carolina for 38 years, it was high time we made it back to Byron’s “Sweet Home Alabama”. Together with our daughters, we want to share our enthusiasm for the wonderful creatures that God has given us with others.
